Tyre King’s Autopsy Case Ruled as Homicide

Tyre King’s autopsy report has been released by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office and, according to the Columbus Dispatch, King seems to have been shot three times in the left side.

The shots landed on his left temple, his upper left chest, and his upper left side. King was shot by Columbus Police Officer Bryan Mason, who has since been placed on desk duties.

While police say aren’t answering any questions about this ongoing case, 614Now spoke with Tia Moretti, spokesperson for the coroner’s office, and she reported that the case was ruled a homicide.

To be clear, a homicide as ruled by a coroner means that there was no other cause of death than an intentional action that lead to the death of the victim in question.

The only other causes of death that can be ruled are natural, suicide, accident, and undetermined (where there are too many factors in the death that a specific cause cannot be determined.)

The coroner’s ruling does not determine the investigation’s ruling.
