Columbus police officer Bobby Schoolcraft agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of solicitation, while a charge of engaging in prostitution was dismissed.
Schoolcraft faces a $250 fine in addition to court costs, and he will attend “John school.”
The woman, who has a history of prostitution and drug-related charges, reported that an officer paid her $20 to $40 to have sex with her the day before she reported the crime.
Schoolcraft had his weapon taken from him and is assigned to desk duty while the case proceeds.
