Officer shot at in northeast Columbus

Police say an officer was fired at while responding to another shooting in northeast Columbus.
A Special Duty officer was working private security when he was called in on foot to investigate the shooting at Pinecrest Village Apartments at about 1 a.m. Friday morning.
One victim had been shot in the arm, and is currently recovering at Grant Medical Center.
As the officer was investigating he was fired at by an unknown shooter. The officer was not hit, he returned fire, and the suspect fled.
No arrests have yet been made.
