Ohio’s version of ‘Making a Murderer’

Two Ohio men were wrongfully imprisoned for 16 years on false accusations implicating them in a woman’s murder in 1988. They have been approved to receive $851 thousand in compensation by a state budgetary panel.

Despite their insistence that they were guilty all along, they were charged and sentenced after the man who pleaded guilty of the murder fingered them as accomplices. The charges were dropped, but the men are now in their 50s and are arguing they deserve more compensation for their wrongful imprisonment.
