Six gas stations, six hours: Serial robber on the loose
Security cameras throughout Columbus snapped the same robber at six different gas stations late last night–within the span of only six hours.
The unidentified man started out at the BP station at 925 Hilliard Rome Road, where he approached the counter and flashed a gun, sliding a stickup note towards the clerk. He left with an undisclosed amount of money.
Next up was the Thorton’s at 2333 North Wilson Road. Police believe the same man was responsible.
The clock struck midnight but the robber carried on, striking a Turkey Hill on Tuttle Crossing Blvd and a Speedway near Sawmill Road and Tuller Pkwy.
His M.O. was the same each time: approaching the counter, flashing his weapon, and sliding a note across the counter. Eventually the robber fled the Speedway when the clerk hit a panic button.
He’s stupid, sure, but you can’t say he’s not ambitious.
Anyone with information about the man should call the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 614-525-3310.
