Teen Sentenced to 172 Years Just in Case He is Immortal

A Columbus teen, Jordyn Wade, will spend the rest of his life and then nearly two generations worth of people’s lives in jail for a horrific quadruple homicide and attempted fifth murder in 2015.

How did police find Jordyn? One of the five victims survived (the attempted murder charge) and was able to find help after climbing out of the basement.

Apparently, according to the victim, the shooting was because of a robbery over drugs.

This all brings us to today, where Wade was sentenced to 172.5 years-to-life in prison. He was not eligible for the death penalty because, “he was a juvenile at the time the crimes were committed.” Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said.

This is not the longest prison sentence ever doled out, but it does make the list. The longest prison sentence in the United States goes to Charles Scott Robinson who was sentenced to 30,000 years.

The biggest ever? 141,078 Years to Chamoy Thipyaso for a $204 million pyramid scheme.

Wade’s accomplice is an adult, and will be facing the death penalty for his involvement — his trial is set for January 13th, 2017.
