‘The Boogeyman’ killer sentenced to 45 years to life
The man who prosecutors called “The Boogeyman” in court was sentenced today to 45 years to life for killing his girlfriend who was three months pregnant with his child.
Jacob Ferrero, 24, will be 69 before he is allowed a chance for parole.
Ferrero pleaded guilty to the murder of 22-year-old Samantha Greenlee, and said that the killing began as “a simple argument.”
After killing Greenlee, Ferrero wrapped her body in a shower curtain and buried her near a church in Groveport. Two days later, he set their apartment on fire to cover up the crime.
Though his attorneys said the killing wasn’t planned, the jury didn’t agree, and pinned him as a calculated killer.
