Two dead in separate shootings on Northeast Side

The body of 15-year-old Aboubakary Diawara was found in a yard on Laurelwood Avenue at around 7pm Wednesday night. Police have said that the victim was shot to death, but have offered no information in terms of a suspect.

On Marcia Drive, at around 8:30pm Wednesday, another gunshot victim was found…30-year-old Eddie Lovely. He was discovered on a sidewalk and pronounced dead a short time later at the scene. Again, no suspect information has been released.

Though it’s only about a 15-minute drive from one shooting scene to the next, authorities have not said that the crimes are linked.
