UPDATED: Suspicious apartment fire sends infant to hospital

Update 01/12/16: The two-month-old infant’s parents were taken in for questioning by fire investigators. A neighbor reported seeing a couch on fire when she ran over to snatch the baby to safety.
The fire was confined to one unit, but there was smoke damage to other units in the building.
Update 2 p.m.: The infant is reportedly stable and doing well and was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a precaution. Firefighters said the fire “appears suspicious,” as reported by NBC4i.
An infant was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out at an apartment on East Seventh Avenue. The infant’s condition is currently unknown.
