Buddhist temple burns in possible arson, other faiths lend support

The Karma Thegsum Choling temple, a Buddhist temple in Franklinton, was set ablaze on Sunday morning in what is expected to be called an arson by Columbus fire officials.

Though Buddhism teaches that all things are impermanent, practitioners felt sadness for the loss of their spiritual home, which contained artifacts such as religious artwork and 40 years worth of audio recordings.

However, the KTC temple has received support from online donors on GoFundMe.com and the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Upper Arlington has offered its space as a temporary home for the group.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Check back for updates on this developing story.
