Cedar Point shuttered Monday after storm
Hopefully you didn’t have plans to visit Cedar Point today, because they’re not gonna happen.
The amusement park had to close its doors Monday because of damage sustained during Sunday’s thunderstorm.
Strong Lake Erie winds blew over power lines on the Cedar Point Causeway, blocking the roads and cutting off power to the park.
With no way to get there and no electricity for the rides and lights, Monday is a no-go for the park.
Park officials say cleanup and utility crews are working on the recovery, and the park should reopen Tuesday.
