Cops to Fort Rapids: Shut it down!

Fort Rapids indoor waterpark was ordered to close by Monday, February 29 by Columbus police following an extensive history of customer complaints and health code violations.

Bed bugs, cockroaches, noxious fumes in the air, improper food handling, repairs without permits and numerous fire code violations were all included on the extensive list of grievances issued by Columbus police.

The waterpark received an “F” rating from the Better Business Bureau last summer.

If the general manager or any employees continue to work past the February 29 close date, they will be charged with operation of a hotel without a permit, a first-degree misdemeanor.
