Easton Turns Parking into Charity, Debuting New Girl Scout Cookie
No one likes to park at meters, but when you go to Easton, the experience is a little more tolerable knowing the meter money goes to charity.
The aptly named Change for Charity program has contributed $1.3 million to date, and this counts for any parking tickets you may get while at Easton. So hey, I guess there is some silver living on that time you double parked in front of Francesca’s and received an embarrassing amount of tickets.
“Our goal at Easton is to support impactful organizations, not only through providing financial support but also by shining a light on what these organizations do,” said Jen Peterson, Chief Executive of Easton. “Our customers appreciate learning more about these organizations, whether it’s seeing Canine Companions train their service dogs at Easton or through the Girls Scouts distributing troop information and debuting a new cookie here in January. We are so proud to partner with our customers and these wonderful organizations to improve lives.”
Not to gloss over the importance of charity, but the Girl Scouts are apparently debuting a new cookie at Easton — so I guess that’s part of the big news too.
Easton six charities for the 2017 year are:
- Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland
- After-School All-Stars Ohio
- Jewish Family Services
- Canine Companions for Independence
- American Red Cross, Central Ohio Chapter
- OSU STAR House for Homeless Youth
