Huge success for this year’s PBR 10K

On February 27, the Park Street Complex turned into a shrine to PBR, and organizers are calling the event a huge success.

The PBR 10K is a race unlike many others. Instead of running 10 kilometers, the goal was to drink 10,000 Pabst Blue Ribbon beers, with all proceeds going to charity.

Almost 1,200 people came out for the festivities (meaning the average guest drank a healthy eight PBRs), which included music Donatos Pizzas, and of course, massive beer pyramids.

The 10,000th PBR was auctioned off to one lucky Stuart Keller, who donated $1,500 for the honor.

The proceeds go to the Parker Lee Foundation, which supports Directions for Youth and Families, an organization that helps troubled youth.
