I got what?? Districts question Ohio Dept. of Ed. report cards

The Ohio Department of Education released its district report cards today, and some districts are questioning the funky numbers.

Almost half of central Ohio schools received D’s or F’s for overall performance, and nearly every Columbus City School (104 out of 109) received D’s or F’s for overall performance.

But interestingly enough, Columbus City Schools earned an A in the “value added” category, which means that students received a year’s worth of learning, despite falling short of minimum performance benchmarks.

Worthington Schools faced the opposite problem: they received an A when it came to meeting performance thresholds, but they received an F in the “value added” category.

See the link below to find out how your school district’s grades add up!
