Locals Charged with Housing Prostitution
Two people from Columbus have been charged on corrupt activity, possession of heroin and promoting prostitution.
Donald Ray Feagin Sr., 64, and his girlfriend Amanda Michelle Dehart, 33, were allegedly using their home as a pseudo-brothel, as well as advertising the sale of sex on various local ad sites, including backpage.com and then employed the prostitutes who’d respond to their ads.
While the prostitution isn’t recent, having occurred between 2013 and 2014, it happened at their Fairwood Avenue home in Columbus.
Both defendants face a potential sentence of 10 years or more. They were indicted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
There are two victims who will be receiving help from police to move them towards a place of safety while they regain their life, get off drugs and stop the prostitution.
