Mad River Mountain lodge to be rebuilt over summer
After a massive fire destroyed the lodge at Mad River Mountain last year, the future for the winter destination was unclear.
But yesterday renderings of the new lodge were released, and according to the new specs, it looks like it will be twice the size of the old one.
The $6.5 million building will feature an expanded second story with 300 seats, a live music stage and an outdoor deck, while the first story will house almost 800 seats.
With construction expected to be complete by the 2016/17 ski season, it looks like Mad River Mountain will be back on the upswing.
