Man dies in wrong-way I-70 crash

Monday night saw tragedy when a 62-year-old man drove eastbound in the westbound lanes of  I-70.

Wallace Ratliff was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident when his 1997 Ford Explorer veered off the north side of the road and hit a pillar under an overpass near mile marker 73.

Ratliff was not wearing a seatbelt, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers.

Two lanes of I-70 westbound were closed while troopers evaluated the accident and cleared the wreckage.
