Obetz mayor allegedly assaults ex-wife at his mom’s funeral

Obetz mayor David “Greg” Scott is facing charges of assault and domestic violence following an incident at his mother’s funeral where he allegedly pushed his ex-wife with both hands, causing her to fall into a bench and a lamp.

Police say that six witnesses observed the incident at Scott’s mother’s calling hours, which followed an argument.

Obetz Administrator E. Rod Davisson, Esq. said he will wait to see how the charges play out, and he expressed sympathy for the mayor, who lost two family members in a week.

Scott was hospitalized with chest pains on Tuesday, so he could not be in court to be arraigned.
