SWAT Officers Called to Barricade Shooting in North Columbus Hotel

Update: Police were called to the hotel Thursday morning at 7 AM. A suspect has been arrested.

The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old DeAnthoni Truss, and is being held in custody, according to NBC4i.

DeAnthoni Truss is a murder suspect from a previous shooting in June at an East Columbus convenience store where one victim was found dead and another two were injured.

All traffic closures have reopened.

Police, firefighters, and a SWAT unit have been called to the Sheraton Hotel on 201 Hutchinson Avenue, near US 23 and I-270 on the north side, for a reported barricaded shooting situation, according to NBC4i. 

Police told NBC4i that US Marshall agents have exchanged fire with a suspect who has barricaded themselves inside the hotel.

Visitors at the hotel have been evacuated and I-270 westbound on the north side has been closed at I-71 and ramps from I-71 to I-270 westbound have also been closed.
