Upper Arlington police arrested six people for involvement in a multi-state fraudulent bank scheme including Ohio, Florida and California, according to Fox28.
The fraud scheme involves Chase Bank, where they recently started a new transaction program that uses personal information instead of an access card.
Chase’s cybersecurity team determined the program was compromised and quickly alerted authorities and FBI who were then able to make the arrest.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’ Brien said to Fox28 that the six arrested will be facing federal charges since they conducted a crime spree that crossed multiple state borders.
