Good News Everybody! Zoombezi Bay Says Water Is Clear of Diarrhea-causing Parasite

Zoombezi Bay was contacted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the Delaware County Health Department on July 20th about an outbreak of Cryptosporidium, street name: Crypto.

According to CDP, this little bugger can cause watery diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, fever and weight loss. Some people with Crypto have no symptoms though.

John Cannon, General Manager for Zoombezi Bay, has taken care of the problem by nuking the water with high chlorine levels and killing all microorganisms.

“We’ve had our water tested every two weeks for micro-organisms at an independent lab, and all of those have come back negative,” said Gannon to NBC4i

Park officials urge those of you who have those with intestinal issues to stay out of the water, use swim diapers on kids and use the restroom regularly.
