Walgreens Opens Specialty Drugs Pharmacy in Victorian Village
For those of us who have very specific ailments in anything from HIV to cancer, Walgreens has opened up a tiny little pharmacy to serve that very specific niche population, according to Columbus Business First.
This type of pharmacy is specially important to people who have complex medical conditions but don’t necessarily have physical or financial access to the drugs they need.
Walgreens is offering financing programs for the drugs that are often expensive to buy, according to Business First.
The pharmacy only sells drugs — no ice cream or weird “as seen on TV, apple directly to the forehead” products — and lives next to Select Specialty Hospital, which offers rehabilitative stays for patients who have undergone surgery, strokes, or other harsh conditions.
