Urban Meyer is a Grandpa

Look at that baby! The Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer had a solid weekend with the bowl picks announced, but perhaps the bigger news for Meyer was the new addition to his family.

Can his official nickname be “Grandpa Buckeye” — if not, it should.

During the press conference Meyer said he was watching the bowl selection show from the maternity ward after his daughter gave birth around 5:30am Sunday.

“I understand these are all gifts, just very grateful that God blessed my daughter with a healthy baby and a great husband.”

The baby was named Troy Xavier Dennis. Luckily Xavier doesn’t have a football team anymore otherwise there might be some trouble.

Meyer’s daughter, Nicki, is married to Assistant Wide Receiver coach Corey Dennis, so it is looking like a big, happy football family.
