5,000 Franklin County residents are affected by the power outage.

Currently there is no time table for the restoration of power.

AEP says there are crews currently working on it.

More damage was caused throughout Central Ohio. Two fires, and over 10,000 outages. There was a fire at Chattem Village in Upper Arlington. Apparently the fire was so large that it melted the vinyl on the building and charred the bricks. There was a second fire in Pickerington on Tollgate. That home was struck by lightning and destroyed. No injuries at either location.

For more on the power outages, head over to AEP to see if your area was affected.
