Columbus Zoo Brings the Boos

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is bringing in the spooky with the first year of “Boos and Brews” – an adults’ (yes you read that right, no kids allowed) event featuring live music by Grammy nominated country artist Keith Anderson.

This is a ticketed event but it includes complimentary drink tickets (four for VIP guests and two for general admission guests), access to food trucks, live music, and costume contests with a $500 cash prize per category.

Yes, that is right — you can finally win a costume contest with your super awesome, very secret and totally legit costume that you spent four months perfecting.

Costume awards will be given to the best individual, best couple, best group of three or more people, best Jack Hanna, and best country music star. Registration is from 6-8 p.m. and the winners will be announced at 9 p.m. Please review the costume policy on the ColumbusZoo.org’s calendar page.

The Boos and Brews event goes from 6-11 p.m. on Oct. 28. Attendees must be 21 years or over, and costumes are encouraged but not required. Ticket holders are welcome to enjoy the Columbus Zoo as early as 10 a.m. that day.
