Marconi Garage To Be Redeveloped After Nationwide Realty Purchase

Parking may get worse before it gets better. Nationwide Realty purchased the downtown Marconi Garage for $4.3 million.

The purchase was a “strategic investment” according to Tina Guegold in an email to Bizjournals.

Marconi garage was a crumbling eyesore in the middle of downtown and had recently halted operations after little notice. The 650-space parking garage will sit in limbo as Nationwide Realty decides what to do with the building.

“Short-term, we are exploring the possibility of repairing the existing structure,” Guegold said to Bizjournals. “It’s too soon to say whether that will be feasible.”

According to a former operator, the building was in disrepair and had even received a “failure to maintain” notice from the City.
