5/4/16: Giant Eagle recalling sunflower seeds over Listeria concerns

Three Giant Eagle Market District locations are recalling sunflower seeds sold in their bulk foods section after supplier SunOpta informed the grocery store they might be contaminated with Listeria.

The Kingsdale, Grandview Yard and Dublin Market District locations were the stores that sold the seeds between February 15 and May 3, both in the bulk bin and in pre-packaged containers.

Though there haven’t been any reports of illness so far, the store encourages customers to throw away their seeds or return them to the store for a refund.
