New renderings: Kaufman’s transformation of High Street
Kaufman Development has ambitious plans for a stretch of road just of High Street at the edge of the Short North and Victorian Village.
The massive 1.5 acre site between West Second and Price Avenues, just west of High Street, is anchored by the former home of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, which Kaufman will be transforming into high-end apartments, condominiums, retail space and offices.
According to Kaufman CEO Brett Kaufman, construction should be completed in 12-18 months.
As for the price point, expect to pay a pretty penny to get a spot in this new development.
Kaufman said the plan is to make it “a real high-end experience, an elegant for-sale condominium mixed with real high-end, top-of-the-market offices. This one is as great a location as you can get.”
