Ohio employer named best in the country by Forbes

Internet giant Google was the company to beat in this year’s list of Forbes Top 200 Employers in the country, and an Ohio company made a surprising upset.

Marathon Petroleum was ranked the best employer in the country, as determined by an employee survey conducted by research firm Statista, which asked employees to rate their company on 30 different attributes.

Among the categories where Marathon did exceptionally well were in “Images and Diversity” and “Wages and Workplace.”

Five other Ohio companies made the list, including The Ohio State University, Huntington Bank, Owens Corning, FirstEnergy Corp., and Procter & Gamble.
