Pup of the Week: Jenny
614Now has partnered with the CHA Animal Shelter to put some focus each week on a cute pup up for adoption.
Quick note: the shelter wants to remind everyone about their $5 Feline Friday special. All cats and kittens have a $5 adoption fee every Friday through the winter.
Jenny is a 46 pound, tan and white, husky/shepherd mix. She has one blue eye and one brown eye. Jenny is an older girl but is still active and enjoys regular exercise. She enjoys her daily walks and likes to play with other bouncy dogs in the shelter play yard. Jenny was found as a stray so nothing is known about her history. We can tell you that this sweet girl is very food motivated. She absolutely loves treats and food-filled enrichments. People who say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks have clearly never met Jenny. She’s clever and likes figuring out food puzzles to get her treats.
Jenny’s adoption fee is listed at $65. She is up-to-date on all of her shots, and has been spayed and micro-chipped. Adoption fees go right back into the shelter to help care for animals continuing to wait for their new homes.

More about CHA Animal Shelter:
CHA Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio (3765 Corporate Drive). CHA is funded solely by donations from adoption fees, donations from the public, and various other fundraising efforts. Their mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education, and community outreach. They have been fulfilling that mission since 1975.
Adoption fees are designed to help offset a portion of the cost of food, shelter, and medical care for each rescued animal. (jj)
