Last night’s storms might not have seemed like the most intense of the season to everyone, but to a few residents of northeast Columbus, they described a situation of deafening noise and violently shaking winds.
According to the National Weather Service, an EF-0 tornado, the lowest intensity, touched down around 6:06 p.m., with winds reaching up to 80 miles per hour.
In spite of the fact that it’s classified as “low intensity,” it was anything but for the Columbus residents it hit.
Some houses sustained damage, including one that had its garage lifted up off the ground.
Thankfully, no one was reported hurt as a result of the tornado.
