Uber Will Deliver You A Flu Shot Today
We live in an extraordinary age where we can get food delivery and taxi service from an app on our phones, and for just one day, Uber is delivering free flu shots.
The one-day service comes free this year, expanding health care service to local offices for up to five flu injections. Last year it came with a $10 charge for 10 injections, and though the nurse will be dispensing five less injections they’re instead including a wellness package.
“When you get a flu shot, you’re not just keeping yourself healthy, you’re helping everyone around you stay healthy, too. So this season, we’re delivering flu-fighting care packages in Columbus. When you receive a pack, you’ll have the option to request a free flu shot from a registered nurse–for up to 5 people.” Uber said in an email last night to Columbus residents.
All you have to do is open up your Uber app today between 11am and 3pm, select the UberHealth option, and a registered nurse from Passport Health will manage the shots and the paperwork, making this the easiest, most convenient way to protect yourself from everyone’s least favorite time of year: flu season.
