Does Crew SC need a new stadium?

Does Crew SC need a new stadium?

On average, there are about 5,000 vacant seats at every Columbus Crew SC game. That’s dead last in Major League Soccer. The reason for the poor turnouts can’t necessarily be attributed to the expense for Crew fans, seeing as ticket prices are the lowest average in the league.

So is it the venue? Hmm, maybe.

Back in October, the club pushed out a survey to the public to get some feedback on Mapfre Stadium; what their opinions of it were, where they’d want a new stadium to be built if the Crew ever decided to do so, that type of stuff.

But as of right now, officials tell Columbus Business First that they are in no rush to move away from their north side hangout.

Where would you like to see a new black and yellow pitch constructed?
