Guys, we are one step closer to being able to get to Chicago in 30 minutes. You could essentially live in Columbus and commute to work in in Chi-town in only half an hour…What?!
A super-fast tube train system startup called Hyperloop One wants to develop a route from Chicago-Columbus-Pittsburgh. The company is still deciding if the project is commercially viable so it’s still in the infant stages, meaning there is no budget or timeline yet.
The proposal by Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission was one of 2,600 submitted and they chose ours! They are also interested in nine other new routes, only three others in the U.S.
The 488-mile route would be called Midwest Connect.
We’re excited to announce the Hyperloop One Global Challenge Winners! Explore the routes on our website: https://t.co/gybiLtGcrx

We were chosen for two reasons; 1) The Midwest is badass and 2) because there’s an obvious lack of rail connections between major cities.
