After the demise of Kroger and Big Lots in the strip mall on Olentangy River Road, a plan has been hatched to redevelop the University City shopping center.
Twelve acres of land around 2855 Olentangy River Road will be redeveloped into 122,422 square feet of commercial space, 116,131 square feet of shopping space, and 275 multi-family apartment units.
The city’s zoning committee and the Columbus Development Commission has already given their stamp of approval on the project, reports Columbus Business First.
You may notice that a Raising Cane’s, McDonald’s, and Applebee’s sit just in front of the redevelopment site but don’t sweat, those restaurants won’t be touched.
