Cartoons are X’ing the road this September

Do you like reading? Do you marvel at peoples’ artistic talent? Have you a sense of humor, be it even minuscule? If you answered “yes” to any/all of those questions, then we have an event for you.

Cartoon Crossroads Columbus is a free, citywide arts festival hosted every year by people and places with a passion for cartoon arts. CXC connects the global family of cartoon storytellers, comic makers, and animators with the people who love and are inspired by their art.

This year’s festival will be September 29-October 1, 2017 and is held at several venues around Columbus including the Wexner Center for the Arts, The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, and the Main Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library.

Attendees are encouraged to check out the comics for sale and to get to know the CXC special guests including Matt Fraction, Chip Zdarsky, Kyle Baker, Peter Bagge, and Leslie Stein.

“We try to present a fully curated, world class, cartoon art sales spectacular featuring a range of comics-makers: from exciting, new talent starting out to established veterans, to publishers representing a wide variety of books,” says CXC Executive Director Tom Spurgeon. “There is literally something for everybody at the Main Library on those two days.”
