Holiday charity events: Get out to give back

[su_testimonial]By Anna Leeper
Dublin Arts Council staff member
Wine lover, craft beer convert and arts supporter [/su_testimonial]

In truth, I wanted this event to be an ugly sweater party with a twist, but it didn’t quite come to fruition. Maybe next year. For now, we’ll “settle” for spectacular sunsets overlooking sloping riverfront grounds and impressive modern collage by Ohio artist Louise Captein as we sip, taste and support the arts.

Dublin Arts Council’s annual Wine & Craft Beer Tasting takes place Friday, Dec. 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Dublin Arts Council, 7125 Riverside Dr., in Dublin. We’ll sample a flight of red and white wines, compare several craft beers and enjoy small plate tastings. If you haven’t been here before, it’s worth the adventure just to experience the beautiful historic Dublin Arts Center with its spiral staircases, original marble countertops and art deco features. Mention this article and I may just be able to introduce you to D’Art, our 20-lb. resident gallery cat, who will be spending the evening in his suite upstairs.

Tickets are available now. First time attendee? Individual tickets are half-price – only $35! Group packages begin at only six people, so gather some friends and stop by.
