Latest: New rooftop space to be named “Juniper,” feature large gin selection

Steve Rayo, the owner and CEO of Dock580, said during an interview the new rooftop event space at the historic Smith Bros. Hardware Building will be named “Juniper,” and will feature “One of the largest gin bars in the country.” The event space will be open to the public as a restaurant and bar, in addition to private bookings for weddings and business events.

The new venue is slated to open sometime in late September, and will be speakeasy or Gatsby themed. The glass rooftop will be open air as weather allows, and will have also feature a fireplace.

Bookings are now available for fall 2017 and all of 2018. You can call (614) 464-9999 ex 10 to book the space, but you better hurry – spaces are filling up fast!

The historic Smith Bros. Hardware Building is slated to get an upgrade – an awesome new rooftop patio designed to accommodate 300 guests. These upgrades are set to include a new banquet hall, kitchen, restrooms and a set of glass ceilings and walls which can retract to reveal a beautiful view of downtown Columbus. It’s scheduled to be open this Fall.

Given the amazing view, the finalized Smith Bros. Hardware Building rooftop may be one of Columbus’s most sought after event locations. Word on the street is that reservations are already filling up before the official construction has even begun.

Developers have plans to possibly open the space as a weekday happy hour venue.
