BrewDog and CBJ, love at first sip
BrewDog USA has a new group of best friends and they’re pretty good at hockey. A multiyear partnership between the UK craft brewer and the Columbus Blue Jackets has been established, the first of it’s kind for the brewery.
Beginning this fall, CBJ fans will be able to hydrate themselves with BrewDog’s Ohio-brewed Punk IPA at Nationwide Arena. Keep your eyeballs peeled for two portable bars like this one:
Punk IPA will be accompanied by a few other BrewDog beers brewed locally.
Per the press release, BrewDog and CBJ will also use their bond to help promote adoptable dogs from the Capital Area Humane Society via a digital community platform. Pups will also be the focal point of two in-person events held at DogTap Columbus where attendees can learn about adoption, win Blue Jackets prizes, and of course, guzzle BrewDog beer.
“BrewDog is an exciting company that has made Columbus its U.S. home and we’re thrilled to team up as their first sports partner in the United States,” said Ryan Shirk, Blue Jackets Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. “Beyond showcasing their locally brewed craft beers in arena, this partnership is very community-oriented and we look forward to the collaboration.”
Be among the first CBJ enthusiasts to wrap your lips around a pint of BrewDog beer at the CBJ home opener on October 6 at 7pm against the New York Islanders.
