Cue salivation, Swensons Cbus store moving along

Update: We are pleased to report Swensons Columbus location looks to be moving at full steam. *Queue salivating at thought of juicy burgers and greasy fries*

Swensons owners are staying mum about things but lucky for us, Columbus isn’t as tight-lipped.

Columbus Business First reports City Council approved the development plans for 7490 Sawmill Road and is allowing 75 parking spaces though the property has a 69-space cap.

Anything for curbside shakes, are we right?

12/05/2017: If you’ve ever traveled to Akron, Ohio, you know how important it is to pay a visit to the famous burger stand, Swensons. Soon, you could have another obligatory stop when you visit Dublin.

The deliciously gluttonous fast-food chain could be a city approval away from its first central Ohio restaurant, reports Columbus Business First.

The company has put in an application in to the City of Dublin for the old bank on Sawmill Road to be converted into a Swensons Drive-In. If approved, the car hop Gallery Boys would be bringing your burgers, fries, and shakes up to your car parked at 7490 Sawmill Road.

Columbus Business First reports that Swensons is hung up on a little snag with the city’s development staff, though. There’s some discrepancy with the number of parking spots Swensons wants but hopefully they’ll be able to negotiate because the Far Northwest Coalition already approved the plan.

We wouldn’t want to lose momentum towards car-side burger service now, would we?

Swensons has been around for 83 years and boasts seven drive-ins in the Akron-Canton.
