Columbus City Council has approved a contract with Rumpke to extend and increase recycling services.
The recycling service is provided to Columbus citizens for free for the last five years, but the contract was set to end in March.
“I’m disappointed that we only received one sole bid on the contract and that one sole bid was an increase of $14,000,000. That’s concerning when you look at our overall budget,” said Columbus City Council member Elizabeth Brown according to Fox28.
