Does new bill incentivize hiring undocumented employees?

Does new bill incentivize hiring undocumented employees?

Ohio Senate, in a 60-32 vote, passed legislation to eliminate workers compensation for undocumented immigrants. In other words, instead of employers of immigrants paying for work-related injuries, the burden is instead handed off to Ohio taxpayers, reports The Post

Though most Democrats opposed the bill, the overall consensus believes this bill will be beneficial to Ohioans.

Others argue that it may hurt Ohio citizens since undocumented immigrants will now have to seek health assistance from emergency rooms.

But for employers, this is a great move as it eliminates their worry of paying for on-the-clock injuries for illegals.

It’s your time to weigh in; is it right that employers shouldn’t have to pay for their undocumented employees’ injuries?
