One Ohio Senator wants to see more serious action being taken to curb bullying.
Democratic Sen. Sandra Williams has introduced a bill that would allow charges to be filed against a bully after several warnings.
WOSU reports that her bill would give individuals a chance to shape up with warnings and counseling but if they continue to reoffend, charges could be pursued. Because state law already addresses physical assault, Williams’ bill hones in on the threat of physical and emotional harm.
