According to a report from The Dispatch — Sen. Rob Portman has barred paying ticket holders from a Lincoln Day Dinner due to their party affiliations.
An entire table worth of people comprised of liberals and progressives from Lorain, Seneca and Hancock counties were denied entry — they were allegedly told that the dinner was a private event which is why their tickets were rejected but The Dispatch found out it was Portman who made the decision.
The barred table and around 70 others protested outside for over three hours.
Portman’s office has not responded to a request.
