Roadside worker killed by drunk driver

A drunk driver on I-70 struck and killed a construction worker over the weekend.
At around 1:35am on September 30, Edward Torres, 30 was driving east on I-70 at Hilliard-Rome Road when he drove through a barrel barricade, reports NBC4i. He continued driving in the closed section of the highway and hit two construction workers. One victim who has not been identified was injured but the other victim died from his injuries.
Fifty-nine-year-old Steve Cook of Barnesville, OH was pronounced dead at Grand Medical Center around 2am.
Torres who was under the influence of alcohol at the time has been taken into custody and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide.
