A new bill has been introduced that gives a voice to our helpless pups who simply want to hang on patios. The Dispatch reports that the West Chester Republican introduced a bill barring state or local authorities from excluding dogs from the outdoor dining areas of bars, coffee shops, and restaurants.

The organization introduced the bill on Land-Grant Brewing’s patio–a bar who dedicates loads of time and effort to animal advocacy.

A bill almost identical to this one was introduced by Rep. Laura Lanese, R-Grove City, earlier this summer.

Public health authorities have been softly reminding eateries around town that it is illegal for any live animal, save service dogs, to be on their premises. These two bills are part of the pushback.
