Morning Shooting Leaves Woman in Hospital

CPD have said a woman was shot this morning inside a west Columbus apartment.

According to the police, the woman was found with a single gunshot wound after shots were fired around 3 am.

Most alarming is that a child was inside the apartment when the shooting happened, officials are stating he was not injured as he was upstairs during the incident.

The woman was taken to Mt. Carmel West with non-life-threatening injuries. She is in stable condition.

The CPD are searching for at least one shooter, a description was not released but the Police believe that the incident occurred after an argument between two men. One man left the apartment prior to the shooting.
