Flu Spreads Over Ohio, Hundreds Hospitalized
Flu season has started, and so begins the hundreds of hospitalizations in Ohio, according to The Department of Health.
Influenza-like symptoms have put over 280 people in the hospital, and that number is expected to rise, according to 10tv.
Influenza symptoms include anything from fever and chills, to body aches and fatigue. Symptoms can last a few days up to two weeks.
“Young children, adults aged 65 years and older, pregnant women, and people with certain chronic medical conditions are among those groups of people who are at high risk of serious flu complications, possibly requiring hospitalization and sometimes resulting in death,” said the Center for Disease Control.
10tv reports nearly 3,700 flu-related hospitalizations during last year’s flu season.
