Ohio State University announced their plans to build a gigantic hospital that will be the “single largest facilities project in school history,” reports Columbus Business First.

This 840-bed facility will replace the original University Hospital as well as an urgent care and outpatient clinic on west campus. It will be exactly twice as big as the 420-bed James Cancer Hospital that cost $1.1 billion in 2012.

OSU just put out an invitation for architects and engineers to bid on the project so a cost estimate can’t be determined yet but Columbus Business First reports the construction is expected to surpass $2 billion.

The projects will be funded through a combination of debt, philanthropy and operating income.

OSU President Michael Drake hopes to have the new hospital up and running in 10 years and the outpatient clinic open within three years.
